Best Buy and the record companies have tried a new experiment to make people want to buy new CD's. If you buy them on the day they come out they price them at 9.99 with the price going to 11.99 on sale the next day. They've also started packing a DVD with concerts and videos with the CD's.
I don't have a problem with this. It just tells me that they've been gouging us horribly for years. Now that there's some competition suddenly there's more value to the dollar. That's fairly insulting.
To top it all off the record companies are pushing to get royalties on all used CD sales. They tried for this a few years ago but they failed miserably. Must have been a different congress in Washington last time they tried.
Record companies suck.
